Do it

  1. 1

Check which network wires your building

Most buildings are exclusive to either e& or du — ask the landlord or concierge, or enter the address on both sites.

  2. 2

Order online with Emirates ID + Ejari

Pick the plan, upload documents, choose an install slot. Contracts are typically 12 months — note the early-exit fee.

  3. 3

    Be home for the install

Usually within a week. The engineer brings the router and TV box if bundled.

  4. 4

    Cancel properly when you leave

Visit a store or cancel in-app, return the equipment, and get the clearance — unreturned routers bill at full price.

Words you'll hear

Ejarieh-JAR-ee

RERA's official tenancy register. An unregistered lease barely exists legally. No DEWA, no family visas, no disputes.

Common questions

Can I choose my provider?

Usually not — most buildings are wired for either e& or du, not both. Check which one your tower runs before comparing plans that don't apply to you.

Why do they want my Ejari?

Proof of tenancy is part of the install — another reason Ejari registration happens in week one.

Is home 5G a real option?

Yes — both operators sell 5G home routers with same-day setup and no technician. Slightly pricier per gigabyte, genuinely useful while you wait for fibre.
